“The goodest boy, always.”
2024 · Dog · golden retriever · Portland, Oregon, United States
Danny, our beloved golden retriever, was a truly special boy with a heart of gold. Born in Bend, Oregon, in 2011, he joined our family in Portland that summer. We’ll forever cherish the memory of him falling asleep in the car on that first drive home, a tiny puppy already stealing our hearts. With his coppery-gold coat and one proud white sock on his back left paw, he was a big, goofy presence in our lives. He grew up exploring Laurelhurst Park, joyfully chasing balls with boundless energy, and proudly presenting us with stolen socks, his mischievous victories. Danny’s world revolved around his human Mom and Dad, and his little sister, Rosie the cat, who he adored. His loyalty, warmth, and playful spirit filled our home with so much love and laughter. He faced cancer late last year with courage, passing peacefully at home in Portland in November 2024, surrounded by the family who loved him beyond measure.
