Moose would lie in a snowbank until we begged him to come in. Nine years is never enough with a Berner, and it wasn't enough with him.
Their kind
Bernese Mountain Dogs hail from the Swiss Alps, where they traditionally served as farm dogs, herding livestock and pulling carts. These powerful, tri-colored dogs are known for their calm and good-natured temperament, making them loyal companions.
